(1) Permission for Using Loudspeakers
ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അധികാരികളിൽ നിന്ന് എഴുതപ്പെട്ട അനുമതി ഇല്ലാതെ ഉച്ചഭാഷിണി ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല.

NPR 2000, Section 5(1): The use of a loudspeaker or public address system is prohibited unless written permission is obtained from the relevant authority.

(2) Prohibition of Loudspeakers at Night
10 pm നിന്നും 6 am വരെ ഉച്ചഭാഷിണി ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല. ഓഡിറ്റോറിയങ്ങൾ, കോൺഫറൻസ് റൂമുകൾ, കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി ഹാളുകൾ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വിരുന്ന് ഹാളുകൾ എന്നിവ പോലുള്ള അടച്ച സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ ഒഴികെ.

NPR 2000, Section 5(2): Loudspeakers or public address systems shall not be used between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., except in enclosed premises like auditoriums, conference rooms, community halls, or banquet halls.

(3) Ban on Horn-Type Loudspeakers

NPR 2000, Civil Appeal No. 7131 of 2008, Para 19(a): The use of horn-type loudspeakers is completely banned in residential areas, including the playback of pre-recorded music, unless a sound limiter is installed.

(4) Silence Zones Restrictions
നിശബ്ദ മേഖലയിലെ 100 മീറ്റർ ചുറ്റളവിൽ ഉച്ചഭാഷിണി ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല.

NPR 2000, Civil Appeal No. 7131 of 2008, Para 16(3): The use of loudspeakers is prohibited within a 100-meter radius of Silence Zones, which include areas around hospitals, educational institutions, courts, religious places, or other designated zones by competent authority.

(5) Ambient Noise Standards:

Industrial Area (Code A): Daytime: 75 dB | Nighttime: 70 dB
Commercial Area (Code B): Daytime: 65 dB | Nighttime: 55 dB
Residential Area (Code C): Daytime: 55 dB | Nighttime: 45 dB
Silence Zone (Code D): Daytime: 50 dB | Nighttime: 40 dB
